How to play hard as an actor and make poetry at the same time?

The Act of Falling is an exploration of the theatrical possibilities inherent in playing “with abandon”. Abandon is not a state of collapse, detachment or disavowal–it is the opposite. The Act of Falling embraces what happens when we abandon ourselves to the forces of intuition, duration, plasticity, volume, spatial dimensions and the range of force that is the breath of a Dynamic Theater. Put simply, these provocations drive us towards awareness, availability and responsiveness. The workshop will explore principles of engagement based on play, effort, identification and the Indwelt State, projection and aspects of motion.
