UPROOTED: THE KATRINA PROJECT was a multidisciplinary collaboration between 12 Gulf Coast artists (all members of Alternate ROOTS) who came together to create a theatrical response to the disaster that befell our region.  This production and community dialogue, which traveled to numerous cities around the country, aimed to bring together displaced Gulf Coast residents and active citizens to discuss the conditions in their communities that could lead to the same tragic breakdown that happened in New Orleans and other cities destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.
